Just thought I might mention some additional thoughts about this BB cream I bought. Firstly, the smell of this BB cream is divine! I love the jasmine scent. It honestly smells like jasmine bubble tea, so if your a big fan of bubble tea like I am i’m sure you’ll love this product. Unfortunately the smell only lasts for about 5 mins and as you rub the cream deeper into your pores the smell begins to fade =(. The texture is very light and a mix between dewy and a matte finish. Another great thing about this product is that it is a makeup base too so it’s going to give a flawless finish and is super sheer. If you find that this product is too sheer you can just use it as a makeup base and then add another bb cream or foundation on top. I would avoid building this bb cream on just because it may become a tad cakey. Final tip, don’t freak out when you use this product on your face! I know that on the bb cream comes out purple or green depending on which one you buy but it’s ok, just rub it in and wait for it to oxidize and you’ll be good as gold!

So, I recently went to a beautician to see how I could continue to enhance and improve my skin. I know that people wonder why I go and bother to see a beautician since my skin looks pretty healthy but the tips and products that she shares with me are in my view super important in order for my skin to continue looking the way it does. I do break out slightly when it’s that time of a month, though when I show my “acne” to family and friends it seems invisible to them. They just tell me i over examine too much but maybe they’re just being nice. I just hated the feel of the few bumps/ pimples on my face it just made me feel so unclean. I just  wanted my skin to go back to normal again, so to prevent myself from getting anymore pimples my beautician recommended that I take 6000mg of fish oil a day, as she said it will help with blood circulation, reduce the amount of wrinkles that you may have in the future, rashes, redness, acne, dryness, hair growth and will reduce the loss of moisture in your skin. Also, it’s apparently helpful for those who are trying to slim down! I take the NutraLife Omega 3 Fish Oil 1500mg plus vitamin D. I will take 2 tablets in the morning and then 2 at night every day. I love how it has vitamin D as it contributes to creating a healthier bone density. After that I will take my Black Mores Skin Health Bio Zinc tablet after I have eaten as it also has benefits such as, acne management, helps with minor skin disorders, maintains healthy skin and improves your immune system. I have been taking these tablets for about 2 weeks now and I can see that my skin has become more dewy and my pimples from having my period are pretty much nonexistent. I also feel healthier too! So thats a bonus .I think that this fish oil reduced my cramping because usually I get it quite bad when I have my period but this time it has calmed down quite a bit. If you have trouble or even healthy skin I highly recommend these tablets because if your insides are healthy the more vibrant and fresh your outside is going to be. =D

Do you want thicker and fuller lashes without having to pay for those expensive serums? Well now you can =) I have just discovered that Vitamin E is a great way to enhance your lashes. You can buy the Vitamin E capsules from your local chemist or supermarket at a reasonable price. Just cut the capsule in half and spread the oil with your fingers on your lash line and gently message it in. Do this everyday and you should see results within a month. Your eyelashes should feel stronger and thicker if not longer. Vitamin E has great antioxidant properties that help to rejuvenate and replenish your eyelashes. It can also be used to help speed your hair growth. This vitamin is essential for your skin and fingernails so feel free to embrace the oil. Here’s two great recipes to successful hair repair 

1) Olive oil

3) Beer 

Let’s start with the olive oil shall we? Firstly ,olive oil is a great hair repair as it’s rich in polyphenols, which are antioxidants that have powerful anti-inflammatory properties that help to to build cells and repair damage and worn out tissue. Another bonus to this hair repair is that it’s super cheap compared to the commercial hair products. In my opinion the product lasts longer because it comes in such a large bottle and works much faster than the manufactured products. I have tried a series of deep conditioning and replenishing hair care products such as ,Dove Intense Damage Therapy Daily Conditioner With treatment, Schwarzkopf Oil Nutritive Repair Butter Mask and Schwarzkopf Ultimate Repair, Repair and Gloss Treatment (very damaged dry hair). Although these products did work, the results were not very noticeable contrast to the olive oil. Honestly, This hair repair really works and i’m not just saying that. The olive oil replenishes your hair from the inside out leaving your hair shiny, soft and silky as it is rich in vitamin A,B-1,B-2, C,D,E. 

Instructions

These are the four basic types of olive oil such as, extra virgin, pure virgin and extra light. Extra light is best for repairing your hair because it is the least processed. 

1) put on dish washing gloves to stop hands from getting oily 

2) pour about 2 to 3 caps of olive oil into a shallow bowl 

3) section your hair out and spread olive oil only into the ends of your hair 

4) leave in for 30mis and wash the gloves in hot water and detergent

5) After 30 mins wash out with shampoo. You may have to do this twice if it’s still oily leave it over night and then wash it with shampoo again and then use conditioner. 

Do this weekly =)

BEER! BEER! BEER! 

This is another great remedy for dry and dull hair. I love this hair care idea as it another fantastic way to beautify yourself without burning a hole through your pockets and yes it truly does give your hair a glossy and health appearance. I suggest you do this once a month by using a bottle of flat beer after shampooing. Try to chose one without a strong odor. Pour the flat beer into your hair and message it in and then after 30 mins rise out with lukewarm water not hot water.

Today  I am reviewing the Mac Amplified Dunbonnet lipstick. I bought this product at the beginning of this month and I can honestly say that it has delivered amazing results. It comes in a traditional mac lipstick packaging but the texture is matte  with  specs of glitter which is only very visible in bright lighting. The product can last for about 2-4 hours as it is  very matte and clings on to your lips. It tends to lean towards a lip stain then a lipstick finish after it begins to settle in and wear. I suggest that you nourish your lips with a moisture rich lip balm because this product is prone to drying out your lips. I would not recommend this product for those with dry lips as it will not spread smoothy and is prone to residing in the depth of your cracks. For those who have chapped lips and are struggling to find a lipstick that will reduce the visible signs of cracked lips I would suggest lipsticks that are very glossy, sheer and a color that will go with your natural skin tone. I suggest the Lancome L’ABSOLU NU for all skin types.This mac is my favorite red lipstick so far because of the amazing color it creates on your lips. It is a warm reddish berry . I personally like to wear this lipstick as a lip stain, outlining the boarders of my lips and then using my fingers to blend the color inwards.This is because the colour is so bright and outstanding for me. I would recommend this product for all skin types and surprisingly for every day use if you apply it a small amount as it gives an mature and editorial finish. It’s also great for important events such as, work interviews or birthdays. Overall, I think that this product is just lovely. I give it a huge thumbs up!

Yup, i’v discovered another chanel goodie. =)

This is the kind of lipstick I instantly think of when I hear the name Chanel. It is a true beauty and slides on your lips very smooth and evenly. It’s a bright red orange color so it’s great for both day and night. It is a true lipstick so it’s not going to be very glossy but it’s super creamy so don’t fret about your lips drying up. Since it’s not the most subtle lip color i highly recommend a lip brush to apply the lipstick so your lips will look crisp and clean. This shade is great for young adults to more mature women. I love how this lippy makes me feel bold and colourful whist still keeping a classy and fresh appearance. This product looks best whilst wearing shades and not color as you want to draw the attention to your lips. I recommend a dewy finish foundation to go with this lip color as it create a more luminous and silky facade. Despite all the good comments about this product i think that this product smudges very easily and once it stains onto your face it’s super annoying to try wipe it away, unless you have a wet wipe near by or some makeup remover that you carry around in your purse. Also, the product doesn’t stay on for very long but if your one that does not mind re-applying then you’ll have no problems with this one. Overall, I do love how this lippy gives a berry burst appearance on your lips. I give this product a thumbs up.

I want to share just another lipstick with you all. This lipstick was part of February 2010 makeup range and was quite a popular lipstick. It is packaged in a sophisticated tinted black glass case and has the channel logo carved perfectly on the bottom of the gold lipstick bottom. Overall,the casing is easy to open as you just push the bottom where the Chanel logo is and the lid just pops up. I love the texture of this product as it is similar to a sheer and glossy effect. The product would be more suitable for women who are prone to getting dry lips. As you can see in the photo the lipstick has been used quite a bit by my mum.XD The color is in-between grapefruit and primrose. The great thing about this lippy is that it matches most skin types because it is such a natural finish. I recommended it for everyday use as it gives such a feminine and dewy appearance. Despite all the good comments about this product there is downfall to this good as the color quickly fades away after an hour or so and especially after you had a couple of tissues pressed against your mouth after a meal but if you don’t mind putting a lip sealer on top to stop the lippy from fading then this lipstick might be the one for you. All in all i would give this a thumbs up to more mature women but personally for young teens like me it’s not very suitable.

I recently bought this product at Smith and Caugheys in Queen street. I went all over the place trying on the perfect nude colour lippy for summer. I tried a couple of the Mac nude lipsticks, unfortunately they did not have a huge range nor did their colors appear attractive at all. The were very matte and dry looking, it’ s appearance was very unnatural and to be honest it looked as though I smeared foundation on my lips and set it with a finishing powder… yuck! Anyway, After that I tried a Bobbi Brown nude lipstick. It was less dry then the Mac one but it still felt like a concealor stick,so once again i was disappointed. I was hunting for a very organic finish so those ones were not for me because I try to stay away from heavy eye makeup but if your thinking of a matte nude lipstick I highly recommend a smokey eye to balance the face since the product is highly pigmented. Kim Kardashian rocks this look and she looks gorgeous so maybe this will help you with the whole nude lipstick and gradient eyeshadow thing for you guys that are interested. If you choose to go without a gradient eyeshadow effect your face will appear washed out and sickly…mmnnn attractive. Another tip is to remember to add a gloss over the top of the lipstick or even some balm to revive your lips as some of the matted Mac Lipsticks can be very drying. This is help to prevent your lips from cracking and bleeding. Anyways, back to the product. For starters, the packaging is very elegant and has an art nouveau feel to it. I love how the flowers appear very delicate and refined as they vine up towards the lid. Another exciting bonus to this product is that the packaging is magnetic and because of this the cap is super sturdy so theres less of a chance that you’ll find lipstick smears in the interior of your handbag. The lipstick itself is very luminous, sheer and abundant in moisture. The color is a pinkish nude and as you can see it does not cake up.I love this lipstick due to it’s ability to work for all skin types and all ages. Your never too old or too young to pull on this lippy. Also, if your not into the whole lipstick craze then this product will suit you well. The product is more of a lip gloss duet it’s light appearance, smooth and balm like texture. This product is so versatile, will not date and I believe will work as a good lippy for those who have chapped lips. I am a big fanatic for Lancome Lip products as their lip glosses and lip sticks have never let me down. I highly recommend this product. Believe me,once you try it you won’t want to wear anything else. I give this product a thumbs up.
